kanakamahāmaṇi bhūṣita liṅgaṁ: Shiva Linga being adorned with great golden jewels.
phaṇiparivēṣṭita śōbhita liṅgam: Shiva Linga being beautifully wrapped by the serpent (Shiva often depicted with a serpent around his neck).
dakṣhasuyajña vināśana liṅgaṁ: Shiva Linga, the destroyer of Daksha’s sacrifice. In Hindu mythology, Daksha conducted a yagna (sacrifice) and intentionally did not invite Lord Shiva. However, Shiva’s wife Sati attended the yagna and unable to bear the insult to her husband, she self-immolated in the sacrificial fire. Enraged at the loss of his wife, Shiva destroyed the yagna.
tatpraṇamāmi sadā śiva liṅgam: “I always bow to that eternal Shiva Linga”.
