White kungilyum has a childhood connection to me. During every periya karthigai dheepam day, it was a ritual in my native to burn kungilyum outside the front door of the house. After a lot of reading in Google from authentic sources, most people have suggested to use this as sambrani only. So, finally got convinced about Kungilyum குங்கிலியம் to remove negative energy and have started using it by mixing with sambhrani.

What is Kungiliyum and How to Use Kungiliyum
Kungilyum is an aromatic resin that is collected from trees just as our regular sambrani. There are two types of kungilyum – the white kungilyum and the black kumgiliam. White kungiliam has been used for centuries as incense for centuries in many cultures. It is believed that burning white kungilyum removes negative energies from homes and creates a spiritual and positive aura. You can add a pinch of white kungilyum to the smoking coconut or to the cup sambrani and do a dhoop arti to God first and then take it to all the rooms of your house including balconies and under the beds and behind the doors. I show it inside the cupboards as well.
Other practical ways to remove negative energy from homes and office spaces are using salt, camphor, and by following these simple steps. Doing Tulasi pooja at home at least once a month is also highly powerful in removing all sorts of negative energy like evil eyes and black magic.
