Nothing more contentful than offering hibiscus flowers to God. Particularly on days, when you clean the pooja room or pooja shelf and then the dhiyas, decorating the Gods with home grown flowers is a blissful experience. Generally in the south, people offer fragrant flowers like jasmine, paneer rose, and pichi poo for Gods. But, for people me, like growing these flowers in a flat is simply difficult. I do have them but they flower minimally and getting them creep over something is another challenging task. So, I prefer Hibiscus.
These are some of the flowers from my balcony pots. I get atleast one flower each day and they are big enough to keep the whole pooja shelf brim with positive vibes. A few of these plants are a couple of years of old and few are more than 5 years old. Red hibiscus is the favourite flower of Lord Ganesha and all forms of Devi Parvati and all amman like mariamman and bathrakali amman. The highlight of offering hibiscus flowers to God is that you can offer them to all the Gods. They are easy to grow and are sturdy. If you would like to more about the plants I have in my balcony, how I maintain them, what I feed them and all updates related to gardening, please do let me know in the comments.
