Munnavaney Yaanai Mugathavaney is a very simple Tamil song with easy to understand words and meaning. So, byheart this Ganesha song and recite it everday in the beginning of your regular pooja and gain Lord Ganesha’s blessings abundantly.

Years Back, I had written a post on Munnavaney Yaanai Mugathavaney lyrics. This is one song that I regularly recite in my everyday pooja routine. While the song is simple and easy to understand, I was unaware of the word by word meaning all these years. I am sure many of you too may fall under the same category.

முன்னவனே – Lord Ganesha, the first and primal one

யானை முகத்தவனே – The Lord with the face of an elephant

முத்தி நலம் சொன்னவனே – The most intellectual One who shows us the path to Salvation

தூய்மெய்ச் சுகந்தவனே – The One who is an embodiment of pure and flawless truth

மன்னவனே – The King of Kings

சிற்பரனே – The One who is beyond the capacity of human understanding

ஐங்கரனே – The One with five hands

செஞ்சடையஞ் சேகரனே – The glorious One with red hair

தற்பரனே – The supreme One. The equivalent Tamil word is பரம்பொருள்

நின் தாள் சரணம் – I take refuge in Your Feet

Other Ganesha Songs that have been written in simple Tamil language are Aindhu Karathanai, Paalum Theli Theaenumand Kai Thala Nirai Kani. While doing Ganesha poojas, it is highly auspicious to offer Him His favourite things like arugam pul, erukkum poo, and modhak to please Him.
