வவ்விய பாகத்து இறைவரும், நீயும் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்
செவ்வியும், உங்கள் திருமணக்கோலமும் சிந்தையுள்ளே
அவ்வியம் தீர்த்தென்னை ஆண்டபொற்பாதமும் ஆகிவந்து
வெவ்விய காலன் என்மேல்வரும் போது வெளிநிற்கவே.
Abirami Andhadhi – Poem 18 – வவ்விய பாகத்து இறைவரும் – Meaning in English
வவ்விய பாகத்து இறைவரும், நீயும் – Devi had taken over the left part of Lord Shiva. So, Abirami Pattar here recalls the form of Ardha Nareeshwarar in which Devi and Lord Shiva are united and seen as one.
மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும் செவ்வியும், உங்கள் திருமணக்கோலமும் – And the form in which both Lord Shiva and the Goddess are seen as two different persons; yet in their happiest form ie., on their wedding day.
அவ்வியம் தீர்த்தென்னை ஆண்டபொற்பாதமும் ஆகிவந்து – அவ்வியம் means jealousy. Jealousy later gets evolved as attitude and ego when it attacks a person. So, in this line Abirami Pattar says, it is the golden feet of Devi who pinches off his jealous character and thereby keeps all his worldly desires at bay and fills his entire heart with Her thoughts.
வெவ்விய காலன் என்மேல்வரும் போது வெளிநிற்கவே. – காலன் means Death/Yama. Abirami Pattar here expresses here wish during the last moments of his life. When Yama comes to take his life, he wants Goddess Abirami to stand by his side during the last moments of his life and bless him in the form of Ardha Nareeshwarar.
