I have always wanted to grow a peace lily plant and only now time for it seems to have come for this little thing. So, here we go with its updates.
Peace Lily plant container and potting mix
The plant is placed in the 20litre water can that we usually see in the urban Indian households with its top portion cut. It is filled with neglected soil from other pots. The pot is coated with black spray paint to prevent algae formation.

I generally pour a big number of about 500 ml once in about 2 days when there is no rain.

Google suggested keeping this plant in indirect sunlight away from direct rays of the sun. Since my flat is a corner one, I have placed this plant at the entrance on the common wall. It is bright and well lit on sunny days but never gets suns rays.

I haven’t yet added any manure or compost to this peace lily plant. However, it is watered with water from soaked rice and dals before cooking.
