ஆனந்தமாய் என் அறிவாய், நிறைந்த அமுதமுமாய்,
வான் அந்தமான வடிவுடையாள், மறை நான்கினுக்கும்
தான் அந்தமான சரணார விந்தம் தவளநிறக்
கானம் தம் ஆடரங்கம் எம்பிரான் முடிக்கண்ணியதே.

Anandhamai en arivai niraindha amudhamumai

Vaan andhamana vadivudaiyaal marai naanginukkum

Thaan andhamana saranaara vindham thavallanirak

Gaanam tham aadarangam empiraan mudikkaniyadhey.

ஆனந்தமாய் – Here Abirami Pattar says Abirami Amman is his endless happiness

என் அறிவாய் – Devi Abirami is the One who is filled in his brain (consciousness)

நிறைந்த அமுதமுமாய் – Abirami Amman is the eternal elixir

வான் அந்தமான வடிவுடையாள் – Abirami Amman takes the form of the sky(வான் ) and all other pancha boothams

மறை நான்கினுக்கும் தான் அந்தமான சரணார விந்தம் – மறை means Vedas. Abirami Devi is the beginning and end of the four Vedas

தவளநிறக் கானம் தம் ஆடரங்கம் எம்பிரான் – எம்பிரான் here is Lord Shiva. Abirami Pattar refers the place of Lord Shiva as தவளநிறக் கானம் which means the grey colored forest literally. It actually refers to the Cremation Ground.

முடிக்கண்ணியதே – Abirami Amman resides in Lord Shiva’s head as a beautiful garland.
