Abirami Andhadi – Poem 8 – சுந்தரி! எந்தை துணைவி! – Meaning in English
சுந்தரி – Abirami Pattar starts this poem by calling Abirami Amman as Sundhari which translates to “Beautiful Lady”
எந்தை துணைவி – எந்தை means “En thandhai” who is none other than Lord Shiva. எந்தை துணைவி means the soul partner for Lord Shiva
என் பாசத் தொடரைஎல்லாம் வந்தரி – Oh Abirami please cut/remove me from the bondages of worldly pleasures
மகிடன் தலைமேல் அந்தரி – The One who won the battle with the demon Mahishasura and has Her leg above his head
நீலி – Abirami Amman’s color s described here as black.
அழியாத கன்னிகை – Abirami says Abirami Amman is the virgin damsel
ஆரணத்தோன் கந்தரி; கைத்தலத்தாள் – The One who holds the head of Brahma(ஆரணத்தோன்) in her hands(கைத்தலத்தாள் )
மலர்த்தாள் – flower like feet of Amman
என் கருத்தனவே – The flower like feet of Abirami Amman should always stay in my mind
